Winners Are Grinners



Feel like you want to know a bit more about what is happening at Impress? Why not come to any of the IMC meetings? They are on every month and are open to all Impress members. Now for some other great news.
Recently three Impress members Kay Wantanabe and Paula Quintela and Evelyne Upton were successful in gaining selection and winning art prizes. Kay entered the juried Mini Print International Awards - Asia Pacific and submitted her work "Thoughts II" (Drypoint, Linocut, Chine Collé).
The award winning artists are each granted a $5,000 prize package, which includes an exclusive invitation to hold their own solo show, a full page exposé in the awards catalogue. 

Paula (picture above with her work) won first prize at the COSSAG Lenten Art Competition organised by St Stephen's Church in Brisbane. Her print called "Animitas I"(etching & chine colle) was selected from over 100 works.
Evelyne won the Australian Decorative and Fine Arts Society Brisbane [ADFAS] award
for artistic merit, print media on completion of her Fine Arts Degree at Queensland College of Art. Congratulations to you all.
