June 16,2012  Annual General Meeting @ Kedron. Utilising the car park due to site issues

When June comes around; suddenly there seems to be a whole lot to do. Here at Impress we are preparing in anticipation. We are so close to the realisation of many projects much of which depends on the completion of the building to suit our needs. I can report that work has progressed after the election of state & local members of government & you can see our presidents report for more details. 

Recently members gathered for the AGM at the Kedron Pub. A lively lunch was followed by the business of various reports & the election of a new committee. Unable to access the new studio due to some site issues with council about the site, members were instead pleased to chat with our architect Jodie Cummins director of the local Redcoop firm for the duration of the lunch.  

 The new committee roles will be undertaken by the following people listed below. I am sure you will see more of them in the coming months so feel free to chat about ideas you have for workshops, fundraising, exhibitions, or volunteering during the pre & post Kedron  move. We are seeking a  Marketing officer to coordinate  a coherent strategy for the club; this is a new role on the committee so if you want to make your mark on the direction of the club in this exciting position please email Jenny to start this exciting project today.

Annual General Meeting

The AGM was held on Sat. July 2 at the Kedron Park Hotel which is at the intersection of the scramble of road works heading to the northern suburbs.
Business was swiftly taken care of &  members elected to several committee roles that should see the group into the new year. They include the following people.

We enjoyed a very reasonably priced lunch at the KP Hotel & had the opportunity to view the new studio space. As you can see there are still massive holes in the floor & the upper section is yet to be raised to meet the councils specifications. Aside from that there was general concensus amongst all those who attended that "this was a great spot with multiple levels &  all the right ammenties needed for a working print studio". Note the ceilings are very high & there is plenty of light too..
